| Prof. Dr. Oliver Kraft, Karlsruhe Institute of TechnologyBorn in 1964, Oliver Kraft has been working as a professor and head of today’s Institute for Applied Materials of KIT since 2002. In 2011, Kraft was granted the Professorship for Nanostructured Functional Materials funded by the Bosch Group. From 2012 to 2015, he was one of the spokespersons of the Helmholtz Programme Science and Technology of Nanosystems (STN). On January 01, 2016, Kraft started activity as Vice President for Research.

| Andrea Geipel, Munich Center for Technology in Society (MCTS)Andrea is a PhD candidate at the Digital/Media/Lab, where she is studying the production of science on YouTube. In her research she focuses on the influence of social media on science communication models and the identification of Science YouTubers as new role models to produce and communicate science. Andrea earned her BSc and MSc in Human Movement Science with a major in Motor Control and Sport psychology at the Technical University of Munich.

| Dieter Krauß, MFG Filmförderung Baden-WürttembergDieter Kraus finished his training in banking as a qualified banking administrator. He is cofounder of the cinema guckloch in Villingen-Schwenningen and Furtwangen and the Landesverband der Kommunalen Kinos Baden-Württemberg. Since 1999 Kraus is a member of MFG Filmförderung Baden-Württemberg. For thirteen years he was board member of the Kinomobil Baden-Württemberg e.V. Since 2002 he has been part of the jury of the Rolf-Hans-Müller award for film music and since 2007 he is a member of the Kuratorium des Bundesverbandes kommunale Filmarbeit.

| Benjamin Radel, Akademischer Filmkreis Karlsruhe (AFK)Benjamin Radel grew up in Bietigheim-Bissingen, near Stuttgart, and studied Bioengineering at KIT. Since 2016 he works as a research assistant at the institute for Mechanical Process Engineering and Mechanics (MVM) and does research on the mechanical consistency of protein crystals. Since 2016 Radel has been involved in the academic film circle Karlsruhe (Akademischer Filmkreis Karlsruhe), which runs the KIT university cinema (KIT Unikino).

| Eckhard Kolb, Akademischer Filmkreis Karlsruhe (AFK)Eckhard Kolb studied process engineering and does a PhD about transient phenomena during the filtration of finest droplets. Kolb is member of the AFK – Akademischer Filmkreis – and has been organizing regular film screenings at KIT since 2014. Within this he emphasize the tradition of analogue film screenings. His work for the AFK brought him to international film festivals.

| Dr. Klaus Rümmele, Karlsruher Institut für TechnologieKlaus Rümmele studied German and English Language and Literature and Political Science in Freiburg and Coleraine/Northern Ireland. He did a PhD on the relations between text and image in the works of Rolf Dieter Brinkmann. At Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) he is in charge of the section International Communication in the International Affairs service unit. In 2016, he wrote about "Applying a cross-media strategy“, published in the Journal of Education Advancement and Marketing.

| Wiebke Hahn, Wissenschaft im DialogAfter longer stays in Magdeburg, Istanbul and Hamburg, Wiebke Hahn’s passion for Film and Science moved her to go to Berlin. Wiebke Hahn, who studied Cultural Management, is interested in web videos which communicate fascinating contents, show new perspectives and which create a space for reflections. As the head of the project management of Fast Forward Science – the web video-competition – she works for Wissenschaft im Dialog.

| Jürgen Klozenbücher, Filmakademie Baden-WürttembergJürgen Klozenbücher is Study Coordinator for Motion Design and TV Journalism at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. He taught at the University of Stuttgart, at the Kingston School of Art London and the Department of Architecture and Landscape. Among others Klozenbücher built up the course Interactive Media at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg under the direction of Prof. Inga von Staden. He works on interdisciplinary projects in the field of film, interactive media and architecture.

| Marc-André Schmachtel, Goethe-InstitutMarc-André Schmachtel studied francophone cultural studies, modern history and Latin American Studies in Saarbrücken and Québec. His master thesis addressed the African cinema. Until 2008 Schmachtel organized regional film festivals (Cinéfleuve, African Film Series Saarbrücken). For two more years he worked for Goethe-Institut Kamerun. From 2010-2016 he was head of Goethe-Institut Nigeria and initiated several film projects e.g. festival exchange Dokfest.Munich/iREP Filmfestival, Mokolo film platform, Mini-EAVE Nigeria and short film workshops. Since 2016 Schmachtel has been responsible for TV and radio cooperation/coproduction at Goethe-Institut headquarters.

| Dr. Markus Schmidt, BIOFACTIONMarkus Schmidt studied Biology, Zoology and Ecology at the University Vienna and the University Autonoma Madrid and spent a research period in South-Africa, Portugal and China. Schmidt is cofounder of the research institute “Organisation for International Dialog and Conflict Management (IDC)”. Since 2010 he has been acting as the founder of the Biofaction KG, a company which focus on scientific communication. Schmidt is interested in the consequences of new biotechnologies for the society. Therefor he coordinated EU projects and produces i.a. science art film festivals (BIO•FICTION).

| Dr. Oliver Langewitz, Filmboard KarlsruheDr. Oliver Langewitz studied sociology with a focus on communication, film and media, childhood and youth as well as intercultural communication and globalization. He teaches at the University Koblenz-Landau, at KIT and MfG Akademie. Since 1997 he has been working in the media industry as publicist and PR consultant for several companies. Langewitz is founder of the Filmboard Kalrsruhe e.V. and the fum:a - Film- und Medienakademie Karlsruhe. He acts as the festival director of the Independent Days|Internationales Filmfest.

| Dr. Lioudmila Voropai, Staatliche Hochschule für Gestaltung KarlsruheLioudmila Voropai is a media scientist, curator and critic. She studied philosophy, media science, art history and media art in Moscow, Cologne and Berlin. Her scientific projects focus on i.a. the historical development of different forms and media of the popularisation of science. Currently Voropai is research assistant for art science and media theory at University of Art and Design Karlsruhe.

| Dr. Joachim AllgaierJoachim Allgaier is a sociologist and media researcher. He was deputy head of the institute of engineering- and science studies at the Alpen-Adria-University Klagenfurt and worked at the research centre Jülich as well as the institute of science studies at the University Vienna. Allgaier studied at the LMU Munic and the University Maastricht and did his PhD at the Open University in GB. His researches focus on the internet and the interface between science and the public, science communication and social media, pop culture and web video.

| Dr. Anett Holzheid, ZKM | Zentrum für Kunst und MedienAnett Holzheid is a humanities- and media scholar and works as a research consultant of Peter Weibel, director of ZKM | Center for Art and Media. She obtained several philological degrees in the USA (Master of Arts) and Germany (M.A., doctorate). Furthermore, she studied information analysis, and she taught and researched in the field of media- and communication culture at the Universities of Würzburg, Erfurt, Mainz and Siegen. |
