KSFD 2017

The Karlsruhe Science Film Days celebrated their second edition with a top-class international film selection. 65 films from 16 countries were submitted. A jury consisting of 14 representatives from the arts, science and the media, evaluated the submissions according to the categories scientificness, originality, entertainment value, storytelling and aesthetic quality. The best contributions where shown on June the 29th and the 30th 2017 in the Hertz-Hörsaal, Building 10.11, KIT Campus South. The award ceremony was on July the 1st, 7 pm on the EFFEKTE main stage in Karlsruhe Schlossgarten.

The main goal of our festival is to firmly root scientific documentary film, essay and fiction in the public consciousness and to build a bridge between research, artistic creation and society.
